About me
Chris Farrand is The Salvation Army's Eastern Territorial Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) Training and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. He previously served for 15 years as the EDS Director in MA, CT, and RI where he managed EDS responses for the COVID pandemic, and deployed after the Boston Marathon Bombing, Hurricanes Helene and Maria, and to Haiti after the devastating earthquakes. Previously, Chris served as a hospital chaplain, as well as a mental health worker providing critical care for adults suffering from severe mental illnesses. Along with Fred, he is the co-chair of the New England Disaster Chaplaincy Association (NEDCA).
